In The Navy – Men & Women

Navy Blue is the new Black

Bassike-Autumn-Winter-2014-Look-Book copyI’ve always loved Navy Blue, which is the colour of understated style.

It has taken time but now many of my clients are now sold on Navy. Navy is intense, sophisticated, effortless, and both classic and sharp at the same time.

For a while it has been seen as daggy, now it is hailed as modern and chic.

Most importantly, it is more forgiving than black, less harsh and suits all skin tones.

So how do you wear Navy for Autumn 2014?

It looks perfect with all neutrals, white, ivory, grey, camel and black. Yes black and navy can be worn together, that style rule is out-dated. Display your know how with different textures to show its difference with like leather, brocade, lace and silk. Try layering navy and black next to or on top of each other to show your style.

Navy is divine with colour like pale pink, hot pink, orange, yellow or emerald.

Guys try teaming navy with pale blue, burgundy and teal. Experiment and have fun. Of course navy is stunning in stripes, teamed with red or head to toe. Yes you can wear black shoes with a navy suit, add a black belt.
