The Meghan Effect
Make your Mark
Move over Kate, we now have a new style icon to follow, the newly engaged Meghan Markle. The future new Royal has captured not only Prince Harry but also the world with her warm smile and stunning looks.
Not that we don’t love Kate, (the Duchess of Cambridge) who was the forerunner for changing the rules for a modern Princess. Her ladylike style is perfect for a future queen and she has elegant chic down to a tee.
Whereas Meghan is now the most fashionable future royal to date and is certainly one to watch. Not afraid to stand out, Meghan is her own woman and don’t we love it. Her white wool wrap coat from Canadian ‘Line The Label’ that she wore for her engagement literally walked off the shelves. ‘Line The Label’ are looking to get more in.
A Fashion Stylists Take on how to get Meghan’s Look
- Own your own style and don’t be afraid to break the rules
- Be fashion forward in high end designers like Jason Wu
- Make one rebellious fashion statement in each outfit
- Rock a pencil skirt your way
- Combine designer ripped jeans with a white shirt/tee.
ANZ Rips up its Dress Code
ANZ is now the forerunner of the banks to allow their professional staff to bring ‘their authentic selves’ to work. Their bankers (not their tellers) from next week are free to wear what they wish. This follows on from professional services PwC’s scrapping their dress code last year.
Now don’t worry for the fashion or style tragic, they have circulated some pre-approved fashion choices to guide them. Examples include ANZ retail and commercial boss Fred Ohlsson rocking khakis and a polo shirt at a strategy day. And for the ladies look no further than CFO Michelle Jablko, definitely her own woman in a plaid blazer.
For the lover of formal attire you are not forgotten, just dress as you always have, as your true authentic self.
A Fashion Stylists Take on ANZ’s ‘Dress for your Day’
I’m excited that the world is changing and we can be the person we were most meant to be, dressing to our own true beat. Appropriately of course.
