Hats are making a comeback in Australia as men gain confidence in their sense of style. Young men see guys wearing them on MasterChef, Australian Idol and So You Think You Can Dance and think they're cool. Also guys are more into accessories now, and want to wear them to the races, to get a little bit of an edge, to feel smarter.
Most popular are the Trilby, made popular by Sean Connery in Dr No and the Fedora worn by Harrison Ford. Other styles being worn include the Flat Cap in tweed as worn by Justin Timberlake and the Pork Pie worn in a straw version by Robbie Williams.
Guys should remember the etiquette for hats, never wear them indoors and always dip your hat when you greet a lady!
