Welcome to our  newsletter!

Isn't it time you thought about your Image and the Impression you make. At the Women On Boards Conference this month I presented to so many amazing women who are inspired to look polished and professional.

They really understood the concept that if you want to be in an executive role you have to look like you belong!

Sydney Vs Melbourne - Who Wins in the Style Stakes?

I had a whirl wind trip to Melbourne for Personal Branding Workshops and I also squeezed in some shopping and research.  I know Melbourne women wear a lot of black and are quite trendy, but they do dress up!

While wandering around Sydney in the city this week, I was distressed to see so many dishevelled workers who don't care about how they look.

City Dressing Tips:
Don't dress too trendy unless you work in fashion, advertising or entertainment.
It's ok to look feminine in the workplace.
Tailor your wardrobe to be in line with your role and industry.
Keep your accessories to a minimum depending on your role.
Keep your skirt at knee length.

Don Those Winter Woollies - Girls and Guys

Look the part this Winter in layered knits to keep you warm and cosy all season long.

Girls

Most of the knitwear this season is in neutrals so add a splash of colour so you don't fade away.  Wear warm colours to look vibrant like red, orange, coral or yellow.
For a slim look keep your knits in a fine weave and leave the chunky knits (which just add kilos), for the fashion followers.
Invest in a knitted dress with opaque tights that blend in colour and add a contrasting scarf.
For extra warmth add a long skinny cardigan, cashmere coat or soft leather jacket.
Enhance your look with a faux fur scarf, a fedora or floppy felt hat, patterned hose and gorgeous leather gloves.

Guys

A sports jacket in corduroy or velvet is a versatile hero through all occasions.  Dress it up with pants or go casual with jeans.  This is my favourite!
A leather jacket never dates and is all the go this year in new soft and subtle options.  Choose a classic style and a colour that flatters your skin tone.  They look great teamed with casual trousers, dressed down with jeans and sneakers, or for dinner with loafers and a cashmere top.
A v neck merino knit in navy or taupe to pair with checked or striped shirt in blues or purples.
Invest in jeans that look great on you and team with lace up or  riding boots.
Wear cord pants in rich colours with a cable knit with striped neck and sleeves for an old school look.
Add a textured  scarf in vibrant colours for the final touch.
