Welcome to our newsletter!
Spring is the freedom to move into lighter fabrics that move with comfort and provide you with confidence and style. I find as soon as the days get longer everyone is thinking about their wardrobe. I've had some very successful shopping sessions with clients lately who are eagar to receive an honest opinion on what to wear.

What to Wear if You are PM
I was delighted to be featured on ABC Radio Hobart 936 ABCHobart.mp3 on the breakfast progam with Michael Veitch chatting about how our Prime Minister, Julia Gillard has changed her look. We discussed how Julia Gilliard's hair has a much richer colour these days which flatters her skin tone. Her signature style has introduced a softer look however her power dressing continues with bold stripes and spots in black and white.
Our PM has established her credibility and can now afford to show a more feminine side with soft warm colours in purples, greens and burnt orange. I'd also suggest a longer jacket to flatter her body shape.

Fashion Stakes for Spring Racing at Randwick
Femmes
This year will see a return to traditonal elegance on the track with ladylike looks and polished fashion. Colour and glamour will star with inspiration from the 1950's and 1960's with a structured dress, full skirt, cropped jacket and belted waist. Hats are very IN with toppers, boaters, pillbox or berets. Fascinators are updated with exaggerated floral headpieces, feathers and netting.
Remember the look is sophisticated, you are not going out for a night on the town.
Guys
Guys will wear fitted slimline suits, with french cuffed shirts and cufflinks, tie and pocket hankerchief. Hats are In so choose a modern style.
Please note that grooming must be impeccable with a fresh shaven face and polished shoes.

Men - What's Old is New Again
The double breasted suit is back. It's been altered and is shorter, tailored and clings more to the waist. It's definitely for the more adventurous male as it is forward thinking, fashion confident and stylish.
In Italy men are wearing them tight, short with jeans and loafers. It has slimmer lapels and a better cut and the colour palette includes various hues of colour.

My Top Five Spring Buys

Wrap Dress - The classic wrap dress never goes out of style and suits all body shapes, so flattering.
Classic Blazer - Wear it in neutrals, navy & white or a beautiful colour.
Tailored Shorts - Very stylish especially if worn just above the knee and so much more flattering than capris.
Shoulder Handbag - So ladylike, so versatile and suits many body types.
Statement Necklace - Adds pizzaz to any outfit, and like no other items defines your signature style.
