It's amazing how the media and Hollywood determines what we wear and the latest trends. All too often we are obsessed with the latest fashion to look fantastic, stand out in a crowd or fit in with out peers.
The 'Twilight' saga and the upcoming movie 'Alice in Wonderland' have targeted 'female goths' who gravitate towards the darkly romantic look. Even high end merchandisers are appealing to women to take on the look. Read more on my blog.
We know fashion is fun however remember to take on your own version of the trend. It's not about copying the look but taking a bit here and there, and not looking like everyone else. Try wearing it a more elegant way, a pretty cocktail shift dress; highlighted lace inserts on a little black dress; or black lace gloves.

Super Cool - Roger Federer
Tennis Ace Roger Federer is surely the greatest advocate for guys to look super cool. He's one of Gillette's ambassadors, and no wonder. He always looks impeccable on or off the court. He is neat from head to toe and when he puts on a well cut jacket he looks a million dollars.
Changing his on-court outfits 10 -12 times a year he reflects his personality and personal branding. He has beautiful skin and silky hair and takes care of both, to look good all day and into the future.
Federer says his good friend Anna Wintour from US Vogue gives him the odd fashion tip, showing that even someone as attractive as Federer seeks styling advice from an expert. To get Federer's perfect groomed look www.definingstyle.com.au/Men
Men - Look Stylish in Made to Measure Suits
Looking for good quality, value for money suiting and shirting, maybe the Suit Shop is your answer. Most men today buy their suits off the rack but if you're not the perfect shape try this store in Paddington.
Run by Patrick Johnson, the Suit Shop offers a choice of 500 Italian fabrics and linings. Measurements are taken from 35 different points on the body with suits starting from $1200 and shirts from $250. 9966 7548. www.suit-shop.com
Going Green - Sustainable Clothing
Going Green can be as simple as purchasing garments and accessories made from eco-friendly fabrics and materials under fair trade conditions. It's as easy as asking 'Where was it made?' Fabrics include bamboo, organic cotton and hemp.
Bamboo is a renewable resource that uses little water and requires no pesticides. Amongst its many properties and benefits, bamboo is antimicrobial and antibacterial and repels odours. It has similar properties to silk ie as a soft natural fibre that is warm in winter and cool in summer. It is easy to care for as it can be machine or hand washed.
Sustainable clothing choices include:
Bamboo Too has a range of women’s clothing that includes jackets, waist length shrugs, tank/singlet tops, longer tailored tops and pants in colours including black, red, taupe and ivory. www.bambootoo.com.au or ph 02 9440 4804.
